BoBoiBoy teams up with DG Hisham in new animated PSA to fight COVID-19

Since its release, the PSA has garnered 300K views on Youtube

Want to be superheroes? Well, you don’t need superpowers. All you need to do is follow CAPP:

Cegah: prevent the spread of COVID-19 by educating your families and friends
Amalkan: practice good hygiene to protect yourself from infection
Patuhi: comply with SOPs set by the authorities
Pantau: monitor your health status to ensure you’re free from symptoms before entering public places

This is the message that Malaysia’s homegrown superheroes – BoBoiBoy and DG Hisham – are putting across in a public service announcement.

The 65 second clip depicts BoBoiBoy and his team comprising of Ying, Gopal, Yaya, and Fang, fighting off the COVID-19 virus. Despite using special powers such as tendangan laju and tukaran biskut coklat, the virus remains unblemished.

Fret not, as Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham (as an animation) makes his epic introduction to the band of animated superheroes. With just a pump of hand sanitizer and a wave of his hand, he obliterates the virus completely.

In awe of his powers, BoBoiBoy and his crew consults DG Hisham, to which he responds, “kamu tak perlukan kuasa untuk mengalahkan virus COVID-19. Kamu hanya perlukan CAPP.” (“You don’t need powers to defeat the COVID-19 virus. All you need is CAPP”).

In their quote tweet together with the video, @KKMPutrajaya captioned:

“Adik-adik semua, hero adik-adik dah amalkan 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗣  bersama Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan. Jadi adik-adik pun kena amalkan juga ya.”
